The Assignment: As founding Design Director of the most successful magazine launch in history (which we created in just 3 months!)  We were to create a magazine to appeal to an upscale and well-educated female demographic. In order to achieve this I needed to translate the existing brand into a new extension of itself.  I attracted and built a strong team dedicated to O Magazine’s mission of self-empowerment. I oversaw the creative decisions of the design, photo, production teams and liasoned with editorial, marketing and sales teams.  I managed budgets, resources, and operations and produced an exceptionally high quality magazine with stunning visuals.  Readership numbers soared to 2.8 million in a record 2 years and made a profit after only 2 issues. A triumph on so many levels!
